UNUD NURSING STUDENTS HELD PKM-PM TO HELP TEENAGERS MANAGE EMOTIONAL PROBLEMS WITH YOGA AND MEDITATION PRACTICES General

The Community Service Student Creativity Program (PKM-PM) entitled "AKRODHA: Yoga and Meditation Training to Prevent Emotional Disorders and Manage Emotions in Adolescents in Banjar Tegeh Dalung" is a program implemented by Students of the Undergraduate Nursing and Professional Nurse Education Study Program (PSSKPPN) class of 2020 and class of 2021. The implementing team for this program consists of Ni Komang Devasia Giri Sandani (PSSKPPN 2020), Ni Ketut Ayu Warmayanti (PSSKPPN 2020), Ni Made Pradnyaswari Puspita Arta K (PSSKPPN 2020), Putu Siska Dewi (PSSKPPN 2021), and Rapmauli Tambunan (PSSKPPN 2021) who was supervised by Ns. Ni Made Oka Ari Kamayani, S.Kep., M.Kep. This program lasted for eight meetings starting from 30 July 2023 to 10 September 2023 and was held in Banjar Tegeh Dalung.

At the first meeting, the activity carried out was a presentation of material regarding the benefits of yoga and meditation in managing emotional problems in teenagers. Before the material is presented, participants are required to fill out a pre-test and post-test questionnaire to evaluate their knowledge. The number of participants who took part in this yoga training was 14 people, who were teenagers in Banjar Tegeh Dalung.

The PKM-PM Akrodha activity is a training consisting of yoga and meditation exercises using positive affirmations, as well as break and talk sessions and games. In the yoga training session, the implementing team will demonstrate yoga movements which are then followed by the participants. In the meditation session, participants will be invited to say positive affirmations to themselves while taking deep breaths. In the break and talk session, participants will be invited to communicate about their feelings, whether they are angry, happy or sad, with the aim of understanding themselves more deeply. Apart from that, at the first, second and subsequent meetings, there will also be games such as catching balloons, sticky note games, describing their feelings through pictures, etc., with the aim of exploring teenagers' feelings. This activity will be held on July 30, 05, 10, 19, 20, 25, August and 09, 10 September 2023.

Through this activity, it is hoped that teenagers will be more aware of their mental health and be able to manage their emotional problems through yoga and meditation practice.
