School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University conducted guest lecture activities with the topic “Will Nursing Remain Relevant in The Future?” on Tuesday, April 11 2023 in the A.A Djelantik room, Faculty of Medicine Building. This activity invited Rozzano C. Locsin, RN, PhD, FAAN, Professor Emeritus, Florida Atlantic University, USA. The guest lecture program began with opening speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University, Dr. dr. Komang Januartha Putra Pinatih, M.Kes who also opened the activity.

Participants who attended this activity were 154 students and lecturer staff of School of Nursing, Faculty of Medicine, Udayana University. The purpose of the guest lecture activities is to add new insights for students and lecturers regarding emerging technologies that can be developed in the field of nursing so that nurses can focus more on "caring" and optimize the role of nurses in providing health services.

Through this activity, students and lecturers also received new information regarding five areas of robotic use in health services, namely personal care robots, mobility and transfer robots, cognitive and emotional robots, Nursing assists robots, and care robots in palliative home care settings. It is hoped that in the future, nursing students and lecturers will be able to face challenges with the knowledge gained and contribute in the fields of service, education, and research in the development of science and technology in the field of nursing.
